Have you ever really sat and thought about the different ways that you can rid your body of excess fat and shift that unwanted weight? The first thing that comes to mind will be maintaining regular exercise and a strict diet plan, but what if you wanted to get rid of those stubborn love handles a lot quicker? There is now a simple option known as fat freezing, just freeze the fat away!
But is it really that simple?
In short, yes, it is that simple. Fat freezing isn’t a new thing and has been around for almost a decade now and in that time, there have been upwards of 750,000 fat freezing treatments performed worldwide. In that time, the process has been refined and become more and more effective, allowing you the opportunity to freeze away those stubborn areas that going to the gym and dieting just won’t touch.
How does it work?
Fat freezing, or cryolipolysis, is simple and works by lowering the temperature of fat cells to a point where they begin to break themselves down. Because fat cells freeze at a much higher temperature than the surrounding tissue, the procedure itself will cause no damage to your skin, in fact, it will only cause damage to and destroy the fat. Even though fat freezes at a higher temperature, it will still make your skin feel cold though this won’t be too uncomfortable.
During the procedure and dependent on the area being treated, an applicator “cup” will be chosen to ensure that the exact area to be targeted is covered. Once applied, a gentle vacuum suction will draw the fatty tissue into the applicator and it will then be cooled at a precise temperature to break the fat down for approximately one hour though this can vary depending on the size of the chosen area. Once the treatment is done, its then up to your body to do the rest of the work and break down the cells which will then be expelled from the body via natural processes, for example, when you use the toilet or sweating when you exercise. From this point, the treated area will start to become smaller and smaller over time and you will be able to see the fat disappearing in front of your eyes.
What areas can I have my fat frozen away from?
Dependent on whether you are male or female there are different areas that you can have treated, though a lot of them are available for both men and women. Basically, anywhere you have a build-up of fatty cells can be treated, though the more common areas that people look to freeze away are;
- Stomach
- Thighs
- Upper arms
- Love handles
- Bum
How much fat will I lose?
That varies from person to person, the main thing you need to do is continue to ear tight and exercise once the treatment is done to keep the weight off. Fat freezing will get rid of your stubborn fat, however, it is not a weight loss program and is simply designed to aid in removing fatty deposits.
