If you was unaware, we at Better Body Clinics offer Botox. Our fully qualified and insured nurse attends our clinic at appointment only to offer Botox and Fillers to you and the best prices.
What is Botox?
Botox (Botulinum toxin) are anti- wrinkle injections that are used to relax the muscles in your face to smooth out any unwanted lines and wrinkles, such as crow’s feet and frown lines. Botox is not a permanent procedure, it usually lasts around 4-5 months, depending on the person and their lifestyle and skin type. Botox Injections are not available on the NHS with it being a cosmetic procedure, therefore you will always have to go privately and pay for the treatment. We at Better Body Clinics charge from £115 for anti wrinkle injections.
What to think about before you have Botox injections
We always recommend thinking long and hard before having Botox injections and we always encourage you to ask as many questions before hand to ensure you are comfortable with our nurse & clinic. Claire is the nurse here at Better Body Clinics, she is a fully qualified and registered medical practitioner and is highly skilled and insured.
We would always advise that the person doing your Botox is a medical professional and not just a beautician.
Registers in which your practitioner should be on include:
the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS)
the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP)
Save Face
the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN)
There may be circumstances when you will not be allowed Botox and the nurse will refuse injecting you. These include:
-skin infection
-you have a neuromuscular condition like myasthenia gravis-you’re taking certain medicines
-your unwell in anyway.
-you’re pregnant or breastfeeding
What happens when you get Botox?
Your face will be cleaned before hand and then you will be injected with the Botox with a small needle into muscles in your chosen area. Before the procedure you’ll be asked what your areas of concern are, then during the treatment you will be asked to move the muscles in your face to help find the best place for the injections. The whole treatment usually takes around 10-20 minutes.
You will not see a change right away, this can take around 3 days to start working and then around 2 weeks to see the full results. We always recommend to not rub your face for up to 3 days afterwards and to avoid exercise and sun use for 2 days.
We LOVE the results we see from our Botox procedures & all our clients are always very happy with there new smooth skin!
